phone calls

[Windows Central Question]

I keep getting these phone calls from somewhere in California telling me there is something wrong with my computer. The person who calls is Asian or something and I can't understand a word he is saying to me. something to do with being able to see everything on my computer. They have called three times today and the only number that comes up on my call display is 9917. Is this a legitimate call?

Welcome to Windows Central.

That is a scam. Nobody from Microsoft will ever call you. That scam has been around for a long time.
