Surface Duo Calls and texts not logging

I'm currently able to send a text and make a phone call. However, that call or text does not show up anywhere in the log. Hence, when someone calls me or a text me it comes in as a notification.....once the notification is gone there is no trace of a call or text anywhere. So if I'm not looking at my phone, I would have no idea of a text or call. I have had this Duo for a couple of week and this just started today.

Any thoughts?

What log are you checking when you send text or call? There's a setting in Developer Options called "Restrict SMS and call log access." From the setting description it reads limiting those logs only to default phone and txt messaging apps.
