Phone lacks space for an app

Hi, i have a huge problem with installing a game - asphalt 8(800 mb). I have more than 1.4 gb of free space, but still can't install it. I put the .xap on my sd card.
Is it possible to install it? If not - how can i delete useless things? Uninstalling games won't help, because they take less than 200 mb. My phone says, that my apps take 2+ gb and 'others' the same. How am i supposed to get rid of some of the 'others' if i don't even know what they are? Hope you can help.

You may try checking your installed apps that may be using phone memory instead of sd card. For example, I've tried several apps that prevent others to access my photos. What these apps actually does is copying your photos to internal phone storage to be able to password protect it.
