Phone rotation issue

Sorry, on mobile.

This has just started happening a few weeks ago,but my phone no longer rotates(yes I have verified that rotation lock is off). When I test the gyro with an app I found on the store, it is just shaking even though is flat on a table. The only thing that maybe has caused the issue is gestures beta?? Looking to see if other people have experienced this issue.

I had a similar issue on my 920 on 8.1 after installing Gestures Beta (happened only once though). I had to hard reset and reinstall Gestures Beta again to fix it. Again it could also be a faulty hardware.

Find an Accelerometer app in the store that shows X,Y, and Z coordinates. If you don't see it move then you have faulty hardware. Happened to my HTC M8. Lucky was within 1yr warranty so HTC fixed for free.
