PhotoMath. Do we really need it? An app to solve math problem from your phone and display results.

I was just browsing through techcrunch and came across this beautiful app currently available for Windows Phone and iPhone only. I just wanted to ask you guys, do we really need an app like this which questions our elementary math knowledge?

"Need" is a relative question. It depends on the target market of the app. An engineer may not need it as much as a kid who's just starting to learn math... though s/he may want to try it out of curiosity, or for "Really? Does it work?" type of questions.
