Photos not backing up

I've set all the settings to back up high quality photos over wifi however nothing is appearing in my one drive folder?
How do I force start a back up as my resetting phone for sale tomorrow?

A hard reset should do the job since you are putting your phone for sale. Go into phone settings/about/rest your phone.

If you have just turned on the setting, it won't backup the old pictures you have taken previously.

It will probably be easier to plug it into PC and do it that way at that point
