Physical buttons stop working

I got my fierce xl in march and over the last few weeks, my power button has stopped working consistently and my volume up button isn't working at all. I have to hold the volume down to get the sensor to come on then use the bar on the screen to turn the volume up. I could deal with the volume button but to lock or unlock the phone I have to press and hold the power button down, so in order to lock or unlock the phone I risk turning it off. I've already ordered a new one from T-Mobile, but I was wondering if any one else is having this issue or if it's just a fluke.

I have, it was the first thing I tried. It's as if whatever connects the button to the processor is going out.

I'd go with the warranty then... Sorry about the button problems.

Not sure if you ever sorted this out, but I has issues with my power button that I fixed.

The shim trick doesn't work on these because the buttons are on a flex pcb. I was able to hit all 4 solder pads with a small soldering iron. This seems to have fixed my intermittent power button issues. (The button would not register regularly when pressed)
