I don't know why people are saying 930 takes worse nightshots than 920. I had 920 for 2 years and it was good but its not even comparable with the 930 except if you are on "auto" mode which i strongly suggest against. Here are my tips for night shots which I use....

Im so amazed by how good shots you can actually aquire with this! I will get my self a mini tripod for mine and leave the appleboys/friends around me wonder

I agree but at the same time I think its still nice to see pictures taken where time and care has been taken. I am as happy for a perfect random shot i took in the streets as a lonely night out late, preppin' for the perfect shot and managing just that. I think with the great manual functions available on this phone its even more fun :smile:

Why can't you have both?

I know it sounds contrary, but I've nailed some perfect shots because I knew things were setting up, could position myself for good light, composition, use the extra resolution for reframing, pre set the focus at a certain distance.

Though it does excel at taking quick shots on the fly as well, so I'm not entirely sure where the complaint/comparison is...

Now I will concede that with my 4 year old indoors in "hyper as only a 4 year old can be mode", I usually give up and grab my 928 with the xenon flash so I don't have a whole roll of blur shots.

My wife walked over and showed me a Calvin & Hobbes strip yesterday with him making faces for his dad. *sigh*

I agree with you on that iphone has done a good job with tweaking their cameras even with only 8mp . But given that I can tell you : 1. Denim is about to roll out and it will have all the things that iphone has for those who wants to shoot in auto mode , rich capture, hdr,superfast camera and all that stuff . 2. I notice some people say they just want to shoot and capture in auto mode which is understandable. But having control over your camera is not a bad thing. Lumia high end phones have so much to offer in manual mode which is a great plus and will give you amazing images where iphone6 will fail (mostly nightshots) given it's limitations.
