re: Picture & Videos Taken With My BLU Win HD LTE

I had a play with the Imagine Cam app (which is similar to Lumia Camera, as it uses the Nokia Imaging API), and found that the phone is actually quite capable in low light situations with the shutter time increased.

See below for a comparison of a low light scene taken about 5 minutes prior to complete darkness at sunset. Both shots have been post processed in Adobe to increase exposure by 25 points.

The extra shutter time in Imagine Cam has allowed far more detail to be captured, although a steady hand is required due to the lack of OIS.

Microsoft Camera app auto:

Imagine Cam app on auto, apart from shutter time which was set to 1/2 sec:

Thanks. That's a new one on me. Checking it out now.

Beautiful sunny day in Whistler today. Here's a shot with Camera 360 Sight, tweaked a bit in Lightroom.

Same root as before - at sunset

Here's that same upturned root at sunset, but the plastic cup has moved off to the side. Too bad about the gallon jug in the back. This will demonstrate the difference between the apps. ProShot exposure bar at the bottom of the screen is at about -.7 - that's where I pretty much always leave it. The other apps are default settings. One of these days I have to go out there and clean up the trash and get my DSLR to get a picture of this root at sunset. The coloring is so neat and the grain of the wood is striking. The ProShot picture is closest to real life twilight view here. No filters or after-the-fact editing done. This is the picture that the app gave me in all cases.
