The 830's got quite a nice looking snapper on the back, just waiting to be taken out for a spin!

Show off your videos and photos taken with your or someone else's 830 here!

Just got this phone as my first Windows Phone, and snapped this one today while testing the camera. All auto using Nokia Camera:

Trying out a macro. Though at this point I have to say I'm finding it difficult to get a sharp focus on extremely close objects.

Finally got to take a trip to Orlando to visit the new Harry Potter addition to Universal Studios side

While these first two don't look great it was very dark and other peoples phone couldn't get close to this were just a picture of darkness.

While I didn't get the best shot of flame I got the best quality photo because I used manual taking versus everyone using burst mode on their iPhones

I'm very happy with my phone and couldn't be happier.
Cheers!

Right, having gotten my phone today i started playing around a bit with the camera, the following photo i took this evening.
WP_20141023_22_50_14_Pro.jpg
Now the interesting part is how dark the room really is, on the picture it looks brightly lit, this couldn't be further from the truth. Infact the only thing lighting up this room is a 2w led bulb and a 27 inch monitor on very low backlight. Thats it... I took it with a shutter speed of 1 second, holding it free in air so i think we can say the OIS works (needless to say this was taken without flash) the iso was around 400 i think. It just astounds me how well this camera works in low light.

Been out t a few pictures today sadly it was overcast and i'm also not a photographer in any way shape or form. I do like taking pitures with the 830, it's very nice to be able to see the screen so well in daylight. Anyways i don't know how this forum handles images so i will link some to OneDrive if you want to see the original untouched image. None of these have been near any photoediting, this is how they came out of the camera.

I'm from INDIA. Recently, festival of lights, known as 'Diwali' passed and i clicked these images with my Lumia 830. Hope you like it.

These were taken with 'auto' conditions:

These were taken with manual conditions:

The last one was in full zoom with manual setting of 'iso' and 'shutter speed'..

Testing the low light capability.

Taken at 10 PM so the sky was not really blue. This was shot at ISO 200 and 4 seconds Shutter speed.

I'm quite happy with what it did here when you consider other cameras would have failed miserably here. I was expecting the image to be more sharper though! Too much for the OIS to handle?

I find the 830's camera superb so far. It may have a tendency to shoot dark and night shots 'overexposed' vs. what the scene actually looks like - I'll have to play some more with that.

Here are some shots of my neighbors' dog, at home & at the dog park.

First shot is taken with my HTC 8X, a bit cropped, but otherwise untouched.
1/30s, ISO 121, F/2, shot early July 2014, absolutely adorable 4-5 month puppy. Squeeeeeeee!

All other photos are shot with the 830, uncropped, straight from the camera. Colors and sharpness are just great, imho.
1/1107s, ISO 100, F/2.2 - bright crisp sunny morning

1/532s, ISO 100, F/2.2 - Same dog as shot #1, how she has grown!

1/667, ISO 100, F/2.2 - Who's a good dog, who's a good dog! ;)

have You tried ProShot? It always tends to give sharper images even when using no tripod, from my experience at least..

I know this wasn't aimed at me but i have an issue with ProShot myself on the 830, it just force closes on me when i try & take a picture, tried to change most settings but nothing so far seems to help, resetting camera or doing soft resets change nothing either. Not sure what the issue might be but it feels like ProShot might be less compatible with the 830.
