Pictures/Videos taken with your 920!

SeaWorld this past Sunday, I took a lot of pictures and videos, but here are some I would like to share here. Zoom works well up to maximum zoom where it is not that great. (I will make a separate thread for my trip and a comparison between my Lumia 920 and a Panasonic Lumix semi-SLR camera) Settings were full Auto, flash off and no flash assist. No post-processing either, just straight from the camera.

I must say, that during the shows where the water gets splashed on the crowd, the phone got really wet while recording video and to my amazement the phone continued working. I was enjoying the moment not even worried about the Lumia skipping a beat, and it recorded it all while getting wet!

I particularly like this one with the reflection of the white Lumia 920 in the upper right corner...

I am by no means an expert on the use and features of my 920's camera ...yet. However these pictures were taken in mostly auto settings or by selecting certain modes. I am pretty surprised at the quality myself. I was going to by a camera but I won't bother now I don't really need one.

From the band Big Wreck this was taken at the show I went to last month

A lovely view of our Alberta winter

This may not look like a great picture but when you consider this picture of the aurora borealis was taken on the side of the highway freehand and at night... I'm pretty blown away.

Is that Calgary?

Here is two identical shots and only difference is, that first one is ISO100 -2EV and second one ISO200 -2EV
First photo represents how it actually looked like in real life. ISO200 seems to be that magic setting and that shot have such a nice punch in it. EV also needs to be pumped down to -2

I did try taking photos with ISO400 but those look horrible since there was so much noise. Even when shutter speed is much faster photos do have less detail due noise. OIS does such a good job on those low ISO settings and slower shutter speeds. I don't recommend using any higher ISO than 200. At least this is case before Portico update. I personally locked my ISO setting to 200 unless light is very good i use ISO100. Oh by the way... my lens was clean so no light streaks visible

Great post and pix!!! This is the first shots I've seen someone used EV with a good comparison. I've been trying to figure out best way to use EV and that is great example, thank you.

Shutter speed of 1/3 sec...Were these taken with camera handheld? If so, you have extremely steady hands!

Some of these low light shots I would never even attempt before with a cell phone, I am so shocked how well this does in terrible low light situations.
