it stated that it supports width of up to 7cm. but most Lumia 920 user have covers on and easily more then 7cm. how would it fit? :/

Curses, you're right. Nokia lists the 920 as 70.8 mm (7.08 cm). I'd have to force it in there, possibly scratching the phone or breaking the mount.

i just found this from Amazon, it's just a mount and can fit lumia 920 all the way to samsung galaxy note 2 with your previous tripod.

i just ordered the mount & the tripod separate from amazon.
Mount for Lumia 920 - larger mount for lumia 920 (can fit on any tripod)
Just tripod standalone - just tripod itself.
