PIN for Hello

I've gotten zero recognition with sunglasses, I take it we're talking about regular glasses in this case?
I wish it could recognize me through my cycling sunglasses, that would be REALLY handy.

Ah, yeah my bad. Sunglasses don't work very well with it. I had assumed you meant regular glasses. Glasses with a light tinting work as well. If it could recognize through dark sunglasses that would be awesome!

Interesting. I've done the "look to the sides" thing, and held the phone at the max angle-of-incidence for the scanner, but I haven't tried the one-eye deal.
I've definitely gotten improved recognition, but not what I'd call dramatically improved.

That yellow deal is annoying, it totally nukes the recognition app if you let it go. One time, it apparently nuked not only the app, but all my previous recognition too (it made me start all over, no IRIS scans in the system at all), which was really annoying, so now I'm a bit wary of that bug, I don't want to "test" to see if it's still there...

Yeah, I've had the same issue of it nuking everything if you let the yellow go too long. I haven't had the issue in recent builds, but having to start all the way over I don't really enjoy doing, but I feel finding the "edge" of recognition really does help enough to warrant risking it.

The biggest improvement I found was doing "improve recognition" as many have, but I found I was looking at the "red light" on the left side of "Microsoft" on the phone. It works much better (at least for me) if I look directly at the Iris camera which is actually on the Right side of "Microsoft" on the phone. It unlocks pretty fast even with sunglasses on! :-)

I tried this again, got to maybe 2-3, and got hit by the yellow-full-reset bug, ugh.
Started again, got maybe 10-12 iterations in, started trying the off-angle stuff, yellow-full-reset, again.
Gave up, did maybe 10-12 "basic" iterations, decided I was good with that for now, maybe they'll fix that bug and put it in a bugfix list, and I'll try to "improve" it again ;-]
