Playing MP3's

I have a 64GB card in my Lumia 520 and most of that storage is given to MP3's. They are tagged but the only categories I see are these:

Artists
Albums
Songs
Genres
Playlists
Radio

There are many more tags available in Windows. Why do I see only these and is there something I can do to expand the possibilities? In particular, I'd like to be able to search on the name of the MP3, but I don't see a way to do that other than to copy that and make it one of the supported categories, something of a hassle, partly because it takes a while (usually) to update the properties of my MP3s using my computers. Are there alternate music-playing apps I can use to gain more power when playing MP3s on my Nokia Lumia 520? Do other Windows phones offer more power when playing MP3s?

I use a program called TagScanner to tag my mp3's, then copy them to my phone. It has been working well for me. You cannot edit metatags on the phone.
