I am searching to buy Lumia icon or 930 got a good deal on Lumia icon asked seller if its unlocked or not he replied "CDMA is locked to Verizon. GSM SIM slot is sold unlocked by Verizon, so you'll be able to use GSM with different carriers where the phone/networks support it"...I want to use it in india(gsm or cdma).
Q) does icon works with at&t and T-Mobile?
Q) can I use icon out of usa?

q) yes, but depending on area all LTE bands might not work. you might have to change APN settings as well I think. The phone is unlocked, so it's not a matter of that.

There's no need to unlock it - it is unlocked for GSM from the beginning. You need a GSM SIM to get it to work on a GSM network, and you (might) need to go into the network settings to change it to "GSM".

Long thread there. Note: I have not tried it myself on GSM, I only know that it's not a locked phone and should technically work on GSM as long as the network uses the right frequencies.
