PMA cover for Lumia 1520

I wish they release one with the kickstand capabilities. I don't understand the dismay regarding its thickness, the phone is freaking 6", lol.

So, it appears to be 0.75mm shorter than the 1520 itself, 1.04mm wider, 6.02mm thicker, and weigh 46.84g header than the 1520.

It seems odd that the case would be shorter than the phone or that the sides would be just 0.52mm thick. The 6mm thickness and 47g in weight is a bit much.

I can't believe that someone wouldn't make a Qi charging cover for the 1520. From everything I've read the technology is in the cover and charging pad and not the phone, unless it's built in the phone. The contacts on the back of the phone, which don't have wireless charging built in, are just to supply the charging voltage to the battery.

Anyone an expert on all of this wireless charging stuff?

garbage....absolute rubbish. I hope they lose their *** on these...PMA and Powermat is failure that cannot be propped up by a "standard"

Just had a look at the first picture where the cover extends pretty far above the camera.... what an ugly thing it is...... before I use this one, I happily use the mini USB port and say: screw wireless charging completely.... If it's not built in, it's not an option

I agree. I would have been OK if PMA was just a different type of solution built into the phone, and we had to use different charging pillows or whatever. But this external crap is so tacky. Exposed power contacts? What is this, 1998?

I'm a bit concerned as to whether there are any situations in which those exposed contacts could possibly damage the device

I could not find this case; could you provide a link? Is this a charging shell or just protective?

Ultra Thin Snap-On Case for Nokia Lumia 1520 | Incipio feather | Incipio

There's the link for the Feather option. I'm upgrading from a Quantum, so I've never done wireless charging before so I'm ok with not having it, though AT&T's scuttling of the 1520 is stupid.

Plus, I've never been a fan of cases for phones. I mean, yes they protect the phone but they cover up the exterior of the phone so why cover up a phone nobody gets to see anyway?

Of course I say this with a screen-shattered Quantum and I've already ordered a MASSIVE case for my 1520, but part of me hates the fact I have to buy something else to protect the phone other than a well-made phone.

Great find. The Feather Case looks great. The Wireless Charging kinda sucks. Too bad :(

Think I am going to do black on black feather case. Fist of the North Star:wink:

hahah. No. Nokia is (rightly so) a Qi partner. If anything they will make a Qi backplate. I doubt that though since proper 1520s world wide are Qi built in and this would be an expensive one off US only thing.
