Not sure if anyone else is about to have this problem, but my University is turning off SSL on most services, and in the process will be killing SSL 3.0 (port 465) for our sendmail. I'm pretty much screwed unless Microsoft allows TLS for email.

Maybe I missed something, just seeing if anyone else is having any similar issues?:straight:

I think google requires it. If that's the case we're fine. I've heard the biggest victim of this issue is IE6.

I'd suggest checking with the IT department, but port 587 is traditionally used with STARTTLS, not port 465.

So after doing some research, I'm a bit more confused. We use Zimbra for our email/calendaring/address book suite, and I have it setup by choosing exchange/outlook in my phone. It seems I'll have to switch it to imap, which I'm not sure of the effects of on how it's all very integrated.

I'll update as I work through it.
