porting of apps? is it possible?

i am not a developer or programmer, and trying to understand how it works.
will be glad if somebody guide me a bit and helps me to understand the idea behind it.

ok.

what i meant is to transfer various apps (informative apps or with very basic functionality) be converted to WP apps by a non-developer background like me.
i am nobody in programming. anyway, now i understood that, its really not that simple.
