Before I get to the remedy, please understand that this is my personal experience and your mileage may vary. So I've recently purchased the Lumia 1520 (in fact it's only 2 days old) and it's already having the scroll/tap issue, pretty much out of the box actually. I happened to have made it go away by folding a piece of paper into a strip and put it at the middle part of my case before putting my phone in (yes, I use a Nilkin case with the Lumia 1520, it is quite sturdy). I think this proves one of the theories regarding the screen being flexed when it is in the pocket, and the strip of paper acts to negate the flex on the screen. I could well be wrong, though. But feel free to give it a try, just trying to help

I did the "fix" yesterday and didn't have a single problem since then. I don't use case or screen protector and I always carry the phone in my back pocket with the screen facing me. After reading the explanation about the connector popping out due to flexing, I will try to keep that in mind and monitor the results.
