When you purchase a prepaid phone, does it include the minutes or are you just paying for the phone and have to purchase minutes seperately?

Phone only...usually.

Minutes\data are purchased after buying a phone.

occasionally there might be a minute + phone bundle, but you wont miss it. Assume phone has little (10 i think with Tracfone first activations) to no minutes until stated/proven otherwise.
