Prepping my 1020 to give to someone else.

So, my 1020 is about 2 years old now, and I'm debating whether to keep it a while longer (maybe another year) since W10 is now running nicely on it, or to give it to a friend of mine (she's got a Lumia 900). What should I do to prep it?

Resetting is a no-brainer.

Can I replace the battery? Where would I get the battery from? Is it hard to install? The battery has been draining faster as of late, even with WP8.1, so I suspect its getting old.

Anything else? I think its good overall.

It may be hard to get a replacement battery for the L1020, for three reasons:
1) It's "old";
2) It's not "removable", so the chances that spare batteries are floating around in the market is slim;
3) If you decide to go to a service center, they may not replace the battery since it is still working.

Aside from resetting it, I think there's nothing else you can do to prepare it. Besides, the battery life in the Lumia 1020 wasn't the greatest to begin with. I think she'll appreciate your generosity regardless.

That's about all you can do prep wise.

If my 1020 screen hadn't spiderwebbed, I'd still be using it. I finally broke down and got an S6 because Microsoft would never confirm release date.

And I'm reading that the 950 is meh.

Looks like there's plenty of batteries on ebay. It doesn't look too hard to replace. Videos are on youtube of how to do it.
