Problem understanding OneDrive...

Hi guys

I'm new to Windows tablets (after years on ios) but loving it so far. I have an Acer Iconic W510.

I can copy files over to OneDrive absolutely fine (drag and drop) from the Acer but usually when I go into OneDrive and try and open a file that I've popped onto OneDrive from my work PC (via the web) the files won't open. It comes up with a message 'Downloading' but it never goes over 0% and eventually comes up with an error. It's worked once and I've been trying for days.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm connected to the web fine so just wondering if I'm doing something wrong as I'm a newb...
 
Is sync enabled in OneDrive settings? Swipe from right when you are in OneDrive and go to settings. Check its enabled.
