Problem with Lumia 800, Factory icon?

So I put the sim card in and went to turn it on and it seems like it is going to turn on but It just comes up with a factory looking icon with two chimneys that seem to be puffing smoke :/ It wont go past this so I haven't even done the original setup or anything, this is as far as I have got and it is very frustrating!!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried turning it on without a sim card? With a different sim card? You can always take it back to the store right?
