Problem with memory Management in Nokia Lumia 1320

I am facing memory issue in my Nokia Lumia 1320. I had downloaded few apps and system usage is showing 3.5 GB has been used where apps usage is only 900MB. Earlier, it was showing 0.00 free space on my phone and bcoz of that I had to format my phone. And again it is showing the same thing. I don't know what's wrong with memory management of this phone. Can anyone help me and tell me why is it so? And is there any solution around it to reduce the system usage space on my phone?

Maybe you could free some space if you do a factory reset with the Nokia Software Recovery Tool which can be downloaded here http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/software-recovery/

Sounds strange...what apps do you install? Big games? If you have no space left after hard reset, something isn't right. Maybe go to the Nokia shop and get it checked

There is not a single game on my phone. Even though the memory is used so much. I don't know what's wrong with this and there is one more issue of over heating the cell phone while using it for sometime continuously. I think, i will have to visit service center.

Had same issue. My advice:
FIRSTLY- Delete temporary files (there is such option somewhere in menus. they were taking 1,6GB on my phone after a week or 2 of use
SECONDLY- BUY A MEMORY CARD- it seems a must. I put 8GB one in and forgot about memory issues. (for now)

Yes , i faced the same problem but it seems the 'other' data is getting used somewhere else.

Get a memory card and you won't have these problems. On 8.1

I have same problem with the system files. I have 16GB SD card and I can't upgrade to WP8.1. My system files reserved 4,6 Gb. What can I do with that. In this case my phone is a garbage. :angry: It's a brand new mobile.

Check if u hv downloaded anythn using uc browser, they tend to occupy the phone memory, also change the option in settings, to save new pictures and videos in the memory card

I have got the same problem. System files with 5,5GB, apps unable to install on SD card 335MB(comes with the system) , maps also unable to install on SD about 400MB, temporary files only 20MB(!!). Free space less than 1GB. Soon comes the update for Denim, i will be unable to update cause of the lack of space. By this way my phone is a garbage.. Somebody knows how to free some space. I guess reduce sys files. Thanks for help.

The OS uses quit a bit of the memory.
