Problem with seeing Lumia 950 XL screen indoors?

Here's one I didn't expect. I have a Lumia 950 XL and its screen is bright and easy to see outdoors, but dim and hard to see indoors. I might have expected it to be the other way around, if anything. Changing the brightness level in the action centre doesn't seem to help any. Thoughts?

1. check your Battery Saver Setting be not to high.
2. reset by removing battery+SD+SIMs and replace restart
3. until next OS update use manual screen brightness level
