Problems faced after wp 8.1 update and fixes

So guys i just installed the wp 8.1 update and all was fine upto to the point i got greedy and enabled cortana by changing the language to english US and after doing that the MUSIC app wont open ... i changed back to original language n region and i still cant open the app..... guys need ur opinions

Im in uk and updated using US settings to get Cortana etc. Since doing so my Tmobile voicemail stopped working. Is this because of the area settings or something else?

We both r facing very fast battery drain in the phone
Any one else has issues with battery drain ????

Im having serious battery drain too, i barely use my phone and it only lasted for 10hours. Before 8.1 i can go for 16hours or more with heavy texting and browsing through IE.

Music app is a **** in 8.1 ... I did nnothing like you did, still the app crashes, not opens at all on some occasions... On that cases I restart the phone which solves the problem...

You have to install skype before you do that and log in to the app. MAKE SURE YOU DO BOTH.

Come on, this is a dev preview and IS and HAS TO BE full of bugs. Btw, I haven't faced it on my L520. And maybe you are testing out your phone too much due to the new features. My phone lasts for a day with a lot of music and browsing and cortana.

Did you try a soft reset after changing back your region and language?

EVERYTIME you install ANY update, PLEASE make sure to do a SOFT RESET (aka restart/reboot). It would take care of most of the problems.

As for the bugs, come on people, we SIGNED UP for this, this is the DEVELOPER's PREVIEW.

PS: Too much of caps, I suppose! eh.
