Problems with messaging

I have some problems with my messages, especially with saving and keeping them. So, right now I'm studying in the US and I bought Lumia 521 when I got here. I also have lumia 920 but I can't use American service in it. So when I'm texting with my 521 it should save my messages to cloud and sync them to my lumia 920. It was working normally but in December it stopped working. I have no idea why. Also my 521 has started crashing when I open my messages. I have about 15-20k messages saved in my phone so can that be a reason? It also crashes when I open my email but there's nothing saved. I want to keep those messages saved in somewhere but I don't know where or how? And since the windows phones cloud saving doesn't seem to work is there any other way to save them?

Usually the phone saves all messages on the cloud. I left WP to go back to Apple, when I came back to WP all my messages were restored from the last time I was a WP user on a completely new device.

Yeah it should work but for some reason it doesn't restore them to my other phone anymore

May wanna do another restore and see what happens. As well as contact Nokia or MS to see what they can do.
