Problems with the Microsoft desk-dock?

Heya
I've bought a HP Elite X3 a while back and thought I could use it without any problems with the Microsoft Deskdock. Unfortunately I have a couple of problems and was wondering if anyone here expierenced similiar things:
- the elite x3 mostly detects the dock only when you restart the phone
- if you connect an xbox controller via usb, it constantly reconnects the whole time and can't be used at all.

I tested the same things with the Lumia 950 XL and hd no issues at all.

So I was wondering is that because the desk dock wasn't made for the elite x3, or is that a problem maybe with the fall creators update for the hp elite x3?

the only way you would be able to tell its the x3 is testing another x3... that said in theory it should work just fine with the x3
