Hi Dan!
I'm aware that Project Astoria died long time ago, but I didn't heard anything about Project Islandwood for a very long time.
What's state of it? I guess it's dead just like the other one. Any news about that?
Thanks!

Lots of "Ask Dan" questions today.
I'm pretty sure Project Islandwood is still a thing, just like Project Centennial is. But it's not as simple as "It's alive and well." The bridges still exist, and they are in development, but bridges like that take an incredible amount of work to bring up to date (because they not only have to keep up to date with Microsoft's OS but with the OS or code that the bridge is "connecting" to) and it doesn't get a lot of media attention because it's really not a consumer facing project. It's for the developers, in the background. You don't hear a lot about Xamarin either but that's very much still a thing. It hasn't just vanished because the media isn't talking about it.

I am avare of that. But is there any app bridged that way in the last couple of months?
I'm asking that because almost every day one app discontinue it's W10m development but in the same time stays avilable for iOS.
Did they at least tried to bridge some app for W10m?
It's hypothetical question and I know you're not able to answer it but it seems to me that even devs don't know anything about it nor trying to use it.
And in the state MS is with more and more devs quiting with developments for W10m, they should focus more to make tool more avilable and up to date and make it easyer for devs to work with it.
