Punctuation makes phone unable to write anything more.

So, suddenly the other day my phone stopped working properly. Whenever I put a space, period or colon the next character won't appear. The phone still reacts to input as the buttons flash blue. Doesn't matter what app I'm using. Furthermore the proposal of words have disappeared. Anyone experienceing anything similar?

What device are you using, and what OS version?

Have you tried a soft reset?

Nokia Lumia 920, version 8.1 Cyan (8.10.12393.890).

Tried soft reset a couple of times, not to fond of the hard reset.
