Purpose of the 640xl & 830??

It almost feels like the purpose of the 830 & 640xl are to feed 1520 and 930/ICON users until the flagship and flagship XL come... It feels like these devices were directly targeted at 1520/930 users...

They literally are free of the issues the 1520/930 suffer just with lower specs...

640xl - no ghost taps, and a more easily handled phablet, and newer so warranty support
830-no heat issues,better battery life, and a slimmer build, and newer so warranty support

Like MS put these phones out as half baked successors to satisfy us until the fall...

Then again maybe they're just makin really good midrange phones, and this is just a coincidence that these phones are lower spec'd beasts, descent from the Flagships

they're supposed to be lower-spec yet great phones. that's how they're placed. See the Lumia 920 and 820 dynamic.
