[Q] Creating custom contacts field names

Hi all,
How do I create custom contacts field names instead of using just the pre-set ones? ie Emergency Phone, Secretary's Phone - instead of Mobile, Mobile 2, Work, Fax, etc?

As far as I can see you can only pick from existing options (there are quite a number) but no way to make your own.

Thanks. Any hope of MSFT implementing it? or are there technical restriction disallowing custom names?
