Qi chargers

I decided to go the cheap route - I bought three PowerBot 1020 charges on Amazon for $14 each. They're small, about 2.75" across, so you have to balance the phone on the right spot, but they work great and for the price of one DT-903 you could buy four of these. I have one in the office, one in my kitchen and one in the bedroom. Looking for a car charger, is there anything satisfactory out there that's cheaper than the CR-201?

Did exactly the same thing on the powerbots...got a bunch and put them around the house and one on my desk at work. Also bought the Qi charging backplate for my wife's hand-me-down 810 and now neither of us has to worry about plugging in wires to our phones around the house. Those little pucks are great. Apparently some of the color combinations they sell on Amazon are knock-offs. The font on the front in the pictures are a little different as well. I bought the blue/black ones which according to one of the reviews was the real deal...and it seems to work fine. So for anyone else considering them get the blue/black ones or one of the other versions that has the same font as the blue/black.

Anyone come across the Nokia DT-903 charger? Still can't find any sign of it being sold.

Nice, I was waiting for proclip to come out with a clip for the 830. Do you have a picture of your setup?

Sorry for taking so long to respond, i'll snap a picture tomorrow of it. To clarify, the proclip i have is a mount for my car specifically and then i use a standard adaptorplate to mount the charger on, I use the same 3 screw mounts in the charger arm that attaches it to the suction cup normally. It is very easy to dissassemble the arm, you simply lift the back of the suctioncup gently & you will see 4 torx heads, remove these and you get access to the inside of the arm & the 3 screws mentioned earlier. This separates the arm between the joint and the cup meaning you get the joint left on the charger to angle it with ease/rotate it.

here is my attempt. It's not pretty and I probably wouldn't try it again but it works. $16 for the Mountek nGroove holder (while on sale)

and $4 for the puck from China I took apart (images above). I had to use a Dremel to cut into the base of the Mountek holder and then epoxy the board in. The coil is covered in some fabric and it doesn't scratch the phone or case when mounted.
I may cover it up at some point because it really isn't pretty.....The other problem is that it's pretty much a one-way for the Mountek because there is no way to return it to the way it was.
Maybe more a proof of concept.....
