Question about the Dev Preview Program

Hi have the WP 8.1 GDR1 DP on my L920 I have just a question.
Will the DP be allways updated ahead or at least have the same version as the comercial (final) build?

We don't know that for sure but it doesn't matter.

If you are in the preview and that's the latest you can get it. If a newer version than what's on the preview is released to the public and it is available for your phone you can get it.

At the end of the day, it does not matter.

So I will always have the latest build even if the latest is the comercial build right?

That's correct you will always have access to the latest even if what's available to the general public is newer.

With one caveat, for general public releases your carrier has to approve the update for your handset. So even if Microsoft released it if your carrier has not approved it then you will not get it. Keep in mind that just because it's out there does not mean we can get it.
