For all the designers out there what program do you use to create a Metro UI design. I am trying to metro'fy a website should I use Photoshop or Gimp? What do you recommend?

Can't say im a good designer. But those I know who do it pro are Photoshop because they can afford it. I use Gimp because I can't :D

Yeah, Photoshop is rather nice, but Gimp can do most of it for free.

I'm not a pro, but I use Photoshop. Unfortunately, I'm stuck on version 7. Didn't have money or feel the need to keep it up to date and now it's so old that I can't upgrade it to whatever CS version they are on these days.

I use Illustrator to do my graphics (Metro seems to like the clean lines and graphics) as it uses vector graphics in which is scalable. Eventually you will need a raster program like PS or GIMP to help save out the appropriate graphics and possibly make any special touches to the graphics that cannot be done in Illustrator.
