Xbox- those games are coming along with a companion app
Front Screen-weather can be handled by HTC hub or the several gazillion other weather apps out there, notifications are handled through live tiles already on the home screen.

Marketplace- more apps are coming. wp7 has more thongs integrated than the other OSes which require either an app or OEM interface (HTC sense, Samsung touch wiz)

I know this is pretty petty, but I wish that I could choose the snooze-timing length for my alarms. I saw a friend do that on his Android and, I'll admit, I was a bit jealous.

Speaking of alarms, my N95 starts the alarm in low volume and gradually increase the sound. It's a nice touch that I don't mind WP7 doing.

Nice what is this companion app for Xbox Live?

Also for the front screen I would love to see more
1. Weather I know there is a HTC hub but I don't have a HTC phone it would be nice if it was just included
2. I would like to see more notifications so if you get a FB update put a FB icon there samething goes for everything else. You can have 4 notifications icon displaying and you can touch a button to see more. Something like this would be very nice.
3. I want easier access to voice holding down the Windows key while driving is a pain in the *** maybe a screen button or a side button would help or give your Phone a name and always have it listen

There is soo much more work that needs to be done but I love the Mango update everyday I learn to do something new or learn to do something more efficient.

I just want to be able to sync my IE bookmarks between the desktop and phone. If I used Firefox or Opera on my desktop, I could sync those bookmarks with my phone using 3rd party apps.....but I can't do it using the same browser between both devices? Just seems like a simple thing that should be a no-brainer.

This is a perfect example of the lack of synergy between various MS Teams. I really hope MS has someone in place to unify user experience and can bridge the gap between the desktop and phone experience.

1. there's tons of weather apps including one from MS that can do this.

2. its already like this pin the FB app to start and u'll get a toast of a new Facebook update and a notification count displays on the tile, same with the ME tile. displays all new events and notifications on that tile. same with other apps that support this.

3. no different than messing with tuning and volume keys.

But that's not what my example was - I said a cinema I might go to most often, not a specific movie. It might be very handy to have a shortcut to the Bing quick card for it, but it's not necessarily a tile I want on the start screen all the time.

Somewhere to stash other things like that other than start screen tile or not at all would be a very useful feature.

So you want a grid of icons for your different apps and then want to swipe sideways to get to the next page of less important, but still important enough to have an icon, apps? Pretty sure other OS have this feature. Not the way windows decided to go. Thankfully because I am tired of that setup having had my iPhone 3g since a few months after launch.

I hope that is called the win 8 team manager.

Got it I really want are more notifications in my lock screen. I love the main screen its the best way of showing all of your notifications but it would be nice if I can see all my notifications on my lock screen.

Ironically, you can do it with Opera. There's an app called Opera Link that would sync bookmarks between a desktop Opera and IE9 in wp7. I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw that.

species how would you rate all the smart phones OS's just curious

I kind of like all of them for different reasons.

wp7 is really smooth despite the somewhat rigid user interface.

Android is great with its widget and customizations.

WebOS has the best multitasking interface, but is somewhat slow and does not support alternative input languages.

iOS is similar to wp7, but is even more rigid. I actually think it's getting really outdated. It has the most built in language pack though. Great gift for foreign friends.

N95 8GB is the only non-touch device, but it has multitasking, front facing camera, offline navigation, etc. way ahead anybody else. It's also the best music phone with great speakers.

And I mean features that everyone would use (C&P, Multitasking etc) not features that only the phone geeks would use really.

Has Mango addressed mostly everything or are there some basic stuff missing?

Thanks.

MS can't add EVERYTHING all at once but look at how much they have accomplished already in less time than Android and iOS ever could in that amount of time. Enjoy all the cool stuff they have given us so far, make your startscreen awesome and personalized and in time, imagine how much more awesomeness we are gonna get from MS and WP7. Could any other company even touch the mobile marketshare beside MS? Be happy that MS is going full force and a loyal user like myself doesn't have to stay with WM 6.5, we get the awesome beautiful Metro UI and the powerhouse of MS working to win the mobile phone wars.

Just be patient and you will get everything and more than you have ever dreamed of.

An AI semantic engine as good or better then Siri with complete integration into the OS. Yup Apple has changed everything yet again and now MSFT is playing catchup...

Yep. There's one for Firefox, too. Firefox Home or something like that. It's ridiculous, really.

Really, the main thing Siri does is removes key words and looks up what is left over.

Example: What is the weather like in Lincoln Nebraska?

It just takes that and reads as ==> Open: Weather App, Deep Pin: Lincoln, NE

It is complex in the fact that it knows a lot of phrases...but if you look up examples of it going to work, it mostly resorts to an internet search.

MS isn't that far behind with their current system...example would be I was looking up a vodka the other day...Skyy Vodka. If I said "sky" it would have returned one "y", but it knew the phrase, and that "sky" along with the word "vodka" is spelt with two "y"s...

Don't get me wrong, I love WP7. The level of integration is astounding. The os is very unifying which makes it feel quite advanced and well thought-out, while android feels very disjointed, it's a bunch of apps with very little integration. However, WP7 is missing a LOT! To deny this is to remain stagnant. MS must work on multiple fronts to get WP7 to more people including acknowledging its shortcomings; while at the same time being innovative to set itself apart. I really hope MS didn't get into the game too late and that they're able to catch up. I loved webOS (another well-unified user experience) and put too much hope into a sinking ship. I don't want to do that again. Here's my list of shortcomings I can think of when comparing my HD7 to the latest Android Super Phones.

OS
- Support for more kinds of hardware (for examples, see below)
- Support for different res screens (e.g. HTC Amaze sports a 19:6 aspect ratio screen)
- A notifications list (Perhaps swipe right, from the tiles screen?)
- Custom Tile Colors (there's already too little customization with Metro, they need to open this up)
- Full Preemptive Multi Processing (webOS did it... would love to see it on a platform again)
- An alternate launcher UI. Metro's great but people **LOVE** to customize their phones.
Metro just leaves so little room for much variation; it's a major down-side and.
- How about an option for smaller tiles? (e.g. 3 tiles per row)
- Continue to improve TellMe -- it's got to keep up with (or even pass) Siri -- love what it does so far.
- Allow some customization options of TellMe's Text-to-speech: Alternate voices (male voice, cartoon voices, ...?), talking speed, custom prompts and responses?
- Stronger Camera API support. Apps such as Key Ring should be able to work as well as they do on Android.
- Update Blutooth support to 3.0
- DLNA
- An option to disable TellMe from bleeping out explicit language such as in text messages. What's with that?
- A more active version of TellMe, the first time my phone moves in a given day, TellMe comes up and offers to read off my agenda, the weather forecast, headlines, etc.
- Ability to have any text (or text msg) and have it read aloud.
- Would love a resend option on the text msg context menu.
- Folders in the app list! Further, let these folders be live and pinned to the tile screen as new hubs. The alphabetical app list just doesn't work for me. (OK this could probably be done with an app)
- What's with the 20 person limit in groups under contacts? I wanted to make a group for my business associates and could only put a small number of them in there. Very Bad!
- Ability to install alternate keyboards (Swype?), or figure out a way to make the current keyboard more productive (predict the next word maybe?).
- OK The Zune software is nice and all, but give me USB drive as an alternative.
- ...and releated, give me the option to make my phone show as a wireless network disk on my home network so I can copy files over without USB cable.

Bundled Software
- Continue to develop Mobile Office to be at least on par with Android office apps.
- True turn-by-turn in Bing Maps.
- Week view in calendar
- Option to put my Agenda on the Lock screen.

3rd Party Software
- Pandora! Pandora! Pandora!
- Flash! Flash! Flash!
- Silverlight! Silverlight! Silverlight!
- Skype
- More Software...

Hardware
- Multi Core
- NFC
- Front-Facing Cameras
- 4G
- Ambiant sound active noise cancelation
- Gyro
- HDMI out
- micro SD card slots -- I need more music than I can put on my HD7.

I'm sure I'm only skimming the surface of what can be improved in future releases...

Something that I only really started noticing the last few days and really wish for now is the ability to set time frame limits on notifications and alarms.

I use my phone as an alarm and also have to keep the ringer on since I work in a hospital and do alot of call. It would be nice if I didn't get awakened at times throughout the night with Email delivery notices or other live tile notifications without going through the motions of manually turning them on/off.

Say, the ability to set a time, say 10pm to 7am , that the notifications won't alarm but the phone would still ring and the alarm clock would still wake me up in the morning.
