Indeed you need a compatible quickcharge 2.0 charger to make it happen, as quoted from qualcomm website

"While Quick Charge 1.0 rests in the devices only, Quick Charge 2.0 resides in both the device, offered as a standalone IC solution or as part of the PMIC (power management integrated circuit) of Snapdragon™ 800 processors, and in the AC/DC wall charger."

I'm starting to think the icon charger is quick charge compatible because I just charged my icon from 24% to a 100% and it took 1 hour and 18 minutes

Well my Lumia 1520 charges from 5 to 100% in 3h20min. Now after the gdr1 update it took 2h50min. So it was 30min faster. Not bad but could be better. Let's see what happens next time.

First of all, you need to have a QC 2.0 compatible charger. They have to supply at least 2.5 A - which none of the chargers that come with Lumias is capable of. I also not saw any compatible chargers available yet.

How about with the One M8 for windows? It has the 801 processor and WP 8.1.1, so is QC 2.0 enabled in it, or not (yet) with the current firmware?
