ran out of space while recording, corrupted video

hello, so few hours ago, we had a simple(as simple as it gets) wedding party. .and i was recording a 5min video via my 1020,

it ran out of space(gave me a warning message), so i stopped the video, and it started to save it ,

it took like 40 seconds to save, then after it finished saving, the camera app hanged,, then the start menu hanged(stuck in resuming, never saw this before).. so i left it for 2 mins. no change

i restarted the phone..

but sadly the video wasnt previewed in the camera roll

i can still see the video data via usb, and took a backup to the laptop.. but i dont think it finished encoding or something,

the file wont open in vlc and such , any suggestion? the video is obviously very important(wedding ) .. ,, the 1020 never let me down before

what error is vlc player giving you ?
try using a video converters to play the video or convert to to a different video format (copy the backup file on desktop and use the 2nd backup file for conversion )
