rank your most favourite Windows phone 8 devices from 1-3

920 - Nokia apps/camera
820 - Nokia Apps, still with most of the other goodies
8X - next best thing

The Samsung is OK, but lacks the flair of the HTC and the functionality of the Nokia app suite as well as being dog ugly

920 all the way. If I can't get this, in going bb

Ativ S: 3
8X : 2
Nokia: 1

but the 8X might jump over Samsung once I hold them. Im not holding much faith in Nokia as they have nothing Special that I need(camera , apps and feature i would never use) . and personally I dont like the look of the Nokia.

Nokia 920
HTC 8X
Nokia 820

No interest at all in Ativ. The Evo I'm presently on has soured me on HTC a little. And I still don't care for the look of the 8X. I'm leaving the door open on it until I can compare in person. Maybe the photos don't do it justice. But it's going to be hard to beat the 920 for me.

My list:

1) Lumia 920
2) HTC 8S
3) Lumia 820

I am unbelievable excited about the L920's display, camera, and wireless charging. I think the 8s is the coolest design I have seen for a smrt phone since the N9 captured my heart. And the 820 I like because of the ability to change the color of your phone.

Many ranking Ativ 3rd or not even considering it.

I'm not alone.. :)

Lumia 920: great camera, great style, great screen, great Nokia support.
Lumia 820: shame about the low-res screen, but otherwise great. Nice style, practical with SD memory and exchangable cases, great Nokia support.
HTC 8X: the screen, the case, and the camera.

None of the above.

When/if Nokia makes a phone that is smaller and lighter than my Lumia 900, but still has 720p resolution and 16GB or more memory, that will be my favorite.

Until then, I'll stick with my 900. None of these giant phablet phones or decontented cheapo models interest me.

I know it sucks that they can't make a smaller phone with respectable spec right? They are missing out on another percentage that would like smaller screens and great specs. I think HTC was leaning more towards that, but failed on the battery and storage space. But you dont seem like you were looking outside of Nokia anyways. lol.

1: 920/8X
The nine deuce is great;storage, camera, video, OIS, pureview. These things draw me to it. I go back and forth between the two a lot.
The 8X draws me with the screen, the Beats, that 2 mp ffc(this is pretty big for me), that bangin' Lime color, and the cool fastshutter/imagechip on the rear cam. Whilst having 32g of storage would be welcome, my Arrive has something like 14 or 16 and it's more than enough. I have a bunch of music on there, but it's my back-up player, my Zune HD 32 is my main for music and toting around episodes of Archer ;). (back-up Archer episodes are on my phone for a crisis situation)

2:820/8S
The 820 has the different backplates-this is a cool thing that, frankly I wish most phones had. Removable storage is great, especially when the onboard is low, as is the case with the 8S.
The 8S lacks a lot of things that the other 3 mentioned phones have, but the removable storage(again) and I just can't get past the cooooool style of those phones. The black with white and the sweet black on white Tile scheme to match. Yeah. I know that may seem like a silly criterion but I don't care.

3:Ativ
I'll take John Bender's view on women with this phone: I just consider it. I consider whether or not I want to let it hang out with me and be my phone. And that's it.
(I do like the brushed aluminum finish/silver color. I think that is a cool look, yeah, specs are great but the thing is just so blaaaaaah.)

Thanks

1. Ativ, love the form, weight, and size. Removable battery is a huge plus.

2. 8x, my second choice. Dead sexy phone.

3. 820, features I need on a budget. Not a fan of most Nokia phones but the 820 looks nice.

1) 8X / 920
1) and 2) will be determined by whether I find the 920 to be manageable size, especially concerning the width. If it's uncomfortable, the 8X will be first, unless Nokia really does have a huge app advantage with WP8 (most of their promises, especially regarding exclusive games, have not panned out).

3) Ativ S
Quite frankly appalled by its industrial design, but it's still a high-end device in terms of specs.

Plus, my last experience with Samsung touch-screen (Samsung Tocco I believe) was PAINFUL.
That was a resistive touchscreen, and was a problem with the technology rather than Samsung.

1. Lumia 920-just plain sexy and loaded to the hilt with ACTUAL innovation. Plus Nokia's legendary build quality, call quality & reception (it is a PHONE, afterall) and support.

2. Lumia 820-same reasons as #1.

3. HTC 8X-given how dissatisfied I am with my HD7, this is a win for HTC.

1. L920

2. L820

3. Empty.

L920 packs a lot of hardware features. Wireless Charging is something I am looking forward to with all the cradles, etc, the PureView camera will come in handy and I can really use a slightly bigger screen compared to my L900. Also, I love Nokia Drive and believe that Nokia's collection will only get bigger. Plus dedicated support and updates too.

L820 loses out in the PureView, but it gets a MicroSD card slot for some flexibility, and the SoC is the same as the L920. Also, even though people complain about PPI, it has the same PPI as the L900 and I am using it without issues, so hardware wise it isn't too shabby.

I left no.3 empty because there's really no phone out that impressed me other than the Nokia ones. 8X might get some hype due to its status as the Signature WP8 device, but nothing on it screams innovation or improvement, and I know too many users with bad experience on HTC devices. Samsung's high end Galaxy range is great, but the ATIV is honestly for me more of the same playbook that Samsung uses.
