I've been an Andriod user for years and I've only uploaded a couple videos to Youtube, It's not a feature that really applies to me but it could be hindrance to some. I took a look at the Metrotube and it does not seem to have the ability to upload to Youtube

On your YouTube account there should be a personal email address ending in @m.youtube.com
Save this as a contact on your phone then send any videos to that address and they will be uploaded to your account.
Not the perfect answer but it works until a proper uploader is released.
