Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

Based on what was reported by the Verge, and then reported here, what's your take on it? Have in mind this is the other flagship WP8 device which has not been seen sold on any carrier in the US (although some users have carrier unlocked versions).

By the way, save the bashing of the device or the carrier, and limit the comments to the possibility of the Ativ S being a Sprint Exclusive device.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

Sprint gets a 'Sprint' version of the Ativ S, not the stock international version. Thus T-Mobile and any other carrier can still get the stock version or also a customized device. The Ativ S is a great device that offers a lot for the money. A too early offering would have been detrimental to the L920 and S3.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

Of the choices Sprint is offering, I'm strongly leaning to the Ativ S. I'm just concern as to what changes are going to be in the released version on Sprint. I love my Sprint contract and will stay with them. Since it isn't released in the US, I'm finding it hard to find some very good detailed video reviews of this phone to make sure I should go this route or the S4.

If you don't need all the gimicky software in the S4 :P then go for the Ativ S. Been rocking it for a few months upgrade from HTC Surround. No complaints, maybe just how slippery the phone is.

Thank you, HeyCori. I have added this to my viewing list.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

During the initial Press Release for Sprint for WP8 they said that both their phones will be LTE enable so I guess that's one feature that the Sprint version may have from the original. And I was most likely getting this phone over the HTC Tiara but after I saw the video review I am in love with this phone I can't wait until it drops on Sprint.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

Also have in mind that it will need a CDMA radio installed as well as the GSM radio (yes, I am hoping for a global version of it which requires the slight change in physical design), besides having the proper LTE radio for it while also keeping the MicroSD slot for expanded storage space.

I bet many of you here would like to see both 16GB and the 32GB internal storage models. That would be a major plus for Samsung and Sprint if it happens.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

Yeah I will for sure get the 32GB version and it will be nice when Sprint officially comes out and says something on the device as far as when pre-orders can start so forth..

That's what I want to know, I can't wait to drop ATT and go back to Sprint.

Re: The Ativ S being a Sprint exclsive in the US

As soon as I'm sure of the 32GB version is coming, I will place an order for my 64GB microSDXC card. Why 64GB? Because I rather have too much than not enough like I am experiencing now with my present phone.
