receiving silent messages

hi, my 930 does not notify me by sound or banner notification when i receive a message. so frustrating. i have missed important messages by hours or a day. my other half has a 730 and its fine. I've noticed on her received messages it says "sim, text" at the end of each message where on my 930 it doesn't. running the latest insider build.

check settings, notify center and lock screen notifies. Messages works well, maybe your phone missed lock screen settings.
And log out Skype even if you never used it, Messages and Skype are merged since November

also, in the notification settings, besides the toggle, tap on the exact notification name. you get more specific settings.

Do you have "double tap to wake" switched on?

On my 930 I have problems with that, sometimes.
I do get sound, but no banners or what so ever on my lockscreen.
Also unlocking the camera with the camera button then stops working.

If I switch off double tap, al is fine.

Still no luck. Getting ridiculous, might revert back to 8.1

Ever did a hard reset / back to factory defaults?

If you are going back to 8.1 It will happen anyway.

Did a hard reset last week and the week before that. Have just read another update is on it's way so might hold out for that
