Recommend a headset with mic for Lumia 920?

I am using this:
Amazon.com: Plantronics UPMX256X1 Flex Grip Headset: Cell Phones & Accessories
Works with locked screen. Just love it. Perfect for a car.

There is so many choices and it seems that everyone have their own favour one ... :)

I meant that ONLY speech service does not work with a lock screen (for example, to make a quick voice note, like shopping list) ... all controls, like volume down/up and mute work with a lock screen .... I am pretty happy with Nokia Purity Monster WH-920 - with very nice audio quality - works for me :)

Did you try push it and keep down for a few seconds?

I was using house of Marley Zion with the S3, moving to Nokia Lumia 920 the microphone does not work. But the controls do. Very strange, since the quality of sound is absolutely astounding. Nokia music sounds amazingly good.

Hi,

Just a query on the (very helpful) recommendations on this thread: any problems/issues to consider with any of these, say with lock screen etc?
Thanks.

I'm using Sony MH1-BL Livesounds. They're supposed to be around ?70 but I found them on Amazon for an epicly low ?7.

They can be found for very little money due to them being configued as the older style pin order. happily the Lumia 920 seems to be able to dynamically reasign the 3.5mm contact points from either of the standards.

Check out this thread on the subject [REVIEW] Sony MH1

I'm considering the Sony MH1 for my Lumia 920 too but I was uncertain which version to get.
As you've mentioned, the MH1 LiveSound works but does the control still works?

I had my white Purity headphones for just less than 5 months, barely used them and now this morning, they stopped working in stereo. Monster said to call Nokia and they want me to send them into their repair office in TX. 7-10 days before they will respond she said but that's a big risk to take when they won't send a shipping label or box or even an email to make it solid. If I send them and they say they never received them, then I'm out a hundred bucks. They worked great, the mic was a little to close and not to well thought out in its placement and they do not have a track forward/back button. Just a stop/start and volume up/down. The connector is straight and would be better with a 90 degree. The actual ear piece has no reinforcement at the wire in at the actual earpiece so they are vulnerable and delicate.

Why can't you send it with a tracking number and signature request?

My WH-920 earphones just did the same thing. Sound only out of one ear. Looks like there are production quality and reliability issues with the Monster headsets. Nokia are not interested in replacing faulty sets out of very short warranty period (6 months I was told). Though the sound was good, and all features work at they should when designed for Nokia, I cannot recommend the WH-920 for reliability issues.

I have just bought Bose Mie2 and very happy with It. Great quality, stays in my ears no matter what. One minus is that there are no volume controls on cable, but I van live with It.Recommend It.

The microphone also does not work. Worth getting something that sticks to the standards rather than designed for Apple. I would avoid these Bose earphones.

I have the skullcandy titan with mic-1, I love them, the sound its incredible and with the button you can manage the music and get the phone calls

I take it back, the Sony MH1s are junk. 2 Sets have failed within a week or 2. They appear to hate any moisture in your ears and as such will only suit you if you don't wash.

They controls work fine, but I'd no longer recommend them. See my other post.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I am also now in the market for some heaphones with mic for my 920. Any further recommendations please? Does anything work with all features (volume, mic etc) other than the purity headphones?
