Recommendations/Feedback for screen repair

My wife's L900 LCD cracked - without breaking the front screen. I'm not sure how she managed that, but nothing will show up on the display, besides a faint greenish glow that looks like a crack near the top. AT&T said we're screwed. NO warranty or insurance.

Does anybody have any suggestions for screen replacement? I saw a thread recommending Palco (Palco Repair Center). Their estimate comes in at $173, round trip - which doesn't sound too bad compared to what I've seen elsewhere.

Any other ideas?
