Remote Control Without Screen Lock windows 8.1 Pro to Pro

i have a Media PC in my entertainment center i just setup. i then setup RDP which works great BUT it locks the Media PC and since it is connected to my TV i just want my RDP connection to be able to control the Media PC but still want to see the screen on my TV and cant figure how to not lock the screen when connected?

both machines are 8.1 Pro
