Hi,

One of my family?s Lumia phones was today accidently dropped into a concrete tile on the ground. It was our L735. The girl who dropped it is of course very sorry.

I haven't seen it yet, but over phone she said that the glass is broken in the top left corner. The screen works. So the phone is possible to use.

Now I need to replace the glass. Or do I need to replace the whole front facia with glass, digitizer & LCD?

I found this on YT:
Disassembly full Nokia Lumia 735

It seems quiet easy to replace the front. But it is also an expensive part.

I found the front glass only on ebay. Like this one. But that is maybe very tricky to replace?

Anyone having any recommendations where to purchase in Sweden or Europe?

Anyone that had replaced a L730/L735 glass or display unit? I think the original spare part number is 00813B2 .

Please give me some advices. This is the first display unit that have been broken in my family during all years of mobile & smart phones. I will replace it by myself. I am a technician/engineer in IT & Electronics. So I have quiet good skills & knowledge in this area. But haven't been digging internally in smartphones.

From your link.
It's not a NOKIA OEM part because the manufacturer is not named and they use the word "compatible".
This may give problems.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging
Compatible Model: Lumia 730 735 N730 N735 Compatible Brand: For Nokia

Furthermore it is not only a hell of a job to get the damaged glass from the screen, because it is glued it is also a hell of a job to glue it back on the screen.
For older types like the 520, 820 the digitizer is only glues on the outside with double sided tap so it "easy" to replace but newer types like the 925, 1020 and upwards the digitizers are glued on the screen. ( better performance and probably cheaper to do in mass production.
So i would not recommend the "glass" repair only.

Now the problem indeed from the total assembly is that this is expensive but as you already indicated and can be seen in the video "easy".
Below some links where you can get them in Europe.

Thank you for your prompt answer. Then I know that just replacing the glass is not an alternative on this phone.

Is the phone still under warranty? SSurely the shop you bought it from should be able to have it repaired?
