Right screen edge higher and creaking body.

I have bought myself a Lumia 920 last week and I love it. It pains me to find out that the body starts to creak in soms places when I apply soms pressure to it. Luckily it is still very subtle. I have also noticed that the right edge of the screen is slightly more raised then the left side. When I apply soms pressure on the left bezel of the screen, 2 to 3 cm above the search touch key, it activates the search key. Am I clear enough? I could post soms pics with the areas circled if not. Is all this normal or should I have it replaced? I do not want to end up with a device that has bigger problems.

I wouldn't replace it with slight creaking. The fact that you can activate the search key while being a couple cm away is a little odd. I would def. replace if you have insurance or if you don't mind the cost.

I do have to apply a reasonable amount of pressure so that the right side of the screen moves back into the phone (sounds dramatic but we are talking about less play then half a millimeter, just enough to feel that the right side is slightly more raised).

It is a new phone, so replacing it shouldn't cost me money if it is a defect.

I just re-read that you bought it last week. I would def. do an exchange. No new phone should do that.

Guess I should contact the store then, see if they can replace it for me. Then again, I could try to ignore it as long as it doesn't become any worse. Thanks for your response. I'm curious if there is anyone that has or had the same issue as me though. Don't want to go through the hassle just to find out that it is a common issue with the Lumia 920.

I got the 920 the day it came out last year. About a month ago, I started to notice an ever so slight give/creak around the case. Considering I have dropped it on concrete multiple times, I'm not really surprised. It hasn't affected the actual use of the phone one bit. Before then, it was absolutely perfect.

You shouldn't have any problem like that. It is your rite to return it.

Just my luck. Decide to buy a phone after my aging HTC Desire, choose Nokia because they're build like a tank, and I get a phone with these problems. Damn it, haha :p Was kinda hoping that this was a normal thing for the Lumia 920 so I wouldn't have to contact the store and send it back; bought it via an internet store. They seem to have good service but still... it's a hassle.

That can often times be a hassle. This is one reason I tend to buy more expensive stuff in person or from Amazon (ridiculously good return policy and flexibility). Hopefully it goes well for you! I would be extremely specific when telling them what is wrong so that their aren't any issues.
