Ringer Volume

I haven't been able to find anything but is there a way to keep the ringer volume high and not controlled by the regular volume? Thanks for the help.

There is an option for this in WP8.1, but not 8 unfortunately. Are you part of the developer preview?

Sweet. Once you have upgraded, to get this option simply press a volume button, then tap the little down arrow that appears on the volume control bar.

I almost forgot how covenant it is to have this feature. The upgrade to 8.1 was so worth all the new features.

Does anyone know if this separate volume on 8.1 is optional? I am wondering since I got use to and like pretty much just having one volume for everything.
