RM-940 work with att?

The RM-940 IS the AT&T model so it better... Cricket may need an unlock. Some mvno will run a branded phone without unlock if it is the same towers. YMMV.

It will, but you will not get Qi wireless in case that is important to you. If it is, you will want to get the 1520.3/RM-938, which will work perfectly with ATT, to include LTE, but also has Qi.

I have the RM-940 locked and in my case it works fine with another service called H2o wireless.

Att owns Cricket as of April or May of 2014 so you might not even have to unlock the device.

I also have the RM-938 and have had no problems with it on AT&T other than AT&T having slightly worse coverage than Verizon. On the plus side I get 5 bars at home and its faster than Verizon. If you are planning on buying the phone get the 938 not the 940 as you get QI and twice the built in storage. In my case it was also $50 cheaper than full price on AT&T's website for the 940.

Same for me about owning the RM-938. I love it and how I can use Straight Talk and I bought it from B&H Photo and Video for only $490, so I consider that a very nice option, since it comes unlocked.

EDIT: Also, from B&H, you can get any of the available colors, including white.

Yep. Unless there is something I am missing, other than perhaps being able to buy on contract, I am not seeing a particularly strong reason to get the 940 over the 938. I suppose the caveat to that would be if one version presented the swipe/tap issue less often, etc. However, I haven't seen anything to suggest that those issues are version specific.

Good luck on yellow. I wanted it, but it was sold out. When the more will be arriving on date happened, it was sold out again and the date got pushed back. I said screw it and went black.
