Roaming icon (triangle) always on after 8.1 update.

I downgrade my Lumia 925 to 8.0 and update to the cyan rom. The roaming triangle is now gone, and roaming doens't need to be enabled. So for me the issue is solved by installing the CV firmware instead of the developer preview.

I have the roaming symbol also all the time, and also Telenet provider.

Difference is that i bought my 930 in Netherlands, where i'm residing in Belgium.

Could this be solved when i'm installing BE firmware instead of NL firmware?

After reading above posts I remembered my observation with Samsung Omnia W (WP7.5). I was using network Tata Docomo (India). Tata Docomo had network sharing agreement with another service provider Aircel, so both operators would share network if their own network was not available.
Once while travelling, I saw triangle (roaming) at top. I was surprised to see roaming sign, as I was in my home circle. But later in Phone tile, instead of "Tata Docomo", operator name was displayed as "Aircel". Then after checking online I came to know about network sharing agreement between these 2 operators :)

I'm reviving this thread as I have the same problem here. Just got my new sim card as I moved back to France and all my settings are related to France and my sim is recognized. However, the roaming icon is still on. I tried to turn off/on the plane mode, didn't work. Disabled roaming in the sim settings, didn't work.

I'm on 8.1.1 DP + Cyan.

My phone is a Canadian phone (Rogers Variant), could that be the issue? If yes, that pretty stupid... Should I flash my phone just for that?

I have the same problem. I use Telfort (although I had Movistar as a provider a month ago because I have been living in the Netherlands only since two weeks) so, today, when I have made a contract with Telfort I realize that I can get my internet conexion on my mobile phone without activate the roam and I don?t know if this will be an extra cost. I don?t know what can I do.

I moved to Proximus and no longer have this issue, using a Lumia 830 now though. but the 820 doesnt have to triangle on proximus either, so it is deffently related to carries!

Hi
I have exactly the same problem.
My SIM is a French SIM. I work in Belgium. Whilst in Belgium, the roaming triangle appears.
When I go back to France, the roaming triangle still appears intermittently. This is worrying. I'm not sure how I'm billed.
How does my operator bill me? Does the operator receive an incorrect LAC or RAC?? even whilst in France?

If my mobile phone is sending (whilst in my H.PLMN) a foreign LAC/RAC combination or TAC code (4G), then I'm so screwed.
Microsoft should be paying me for the data usage. I'm really upset. I hate the fact that I've spent all my life debugging Microsoft products. I should have stuck with Apple, but they were too expensive.

:(
